Our MissionSeek. Serve. Save A Broken World. (Luke 19:10 "For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.") SEEK - The final command Jesus gave to His disciples before physically leaving the earth was to GO. Many may understand this to mean that we must go to some other country and share the Gospel in another language. While that is what some are called to do, what Jesus is telling us here is that AS WE GO into the world (as we move along our daily path) that we should be making disciples. We should be seeking out those who will follow Jesus. Here are His words... "go and makes disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." - Matthew 28:19-20 SERVE - Jesus embodied servanthood. The only person to live on this earth who rightfully deserved to be served by every person He encountered, instead chose to serve the very people who would end up costing His life on the cross. In our striving to be like Jesus, we serve our neighbors and our community. "For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give up His life as a ransom for many" - Mark 10:45 SAVE - We believe that it is only through the grace of God in Jesus, that we can be saved from an eternity separated from God. This Gospel, this GOOD NEWS that we share with the world is this... "while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." - Romans 5:8. We have been saved from the punishment that we have earned! Amen. "For if, while we were God's enemies, we were reconciled to Him through the death of His Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through His life!" - Romans 5:10.
