Ninth Street Christian Church is seeking to fill our open worship minister position. We are seeking someone who has the abilities and vision to create and lead our congregation in both engaging and authentic moments of worship for our services, ministries, and homes. This person should be a confident self-starter, who utilizes music, prayer, creative elements, technology, and a discipleship mindset to foster environments where people can connect with God and others in a way that grows their faith. This person should have a standard of excellence and always be looking for ways to lead us forward. This person should work well with others and be capable of training and mentoring worship team members vocally, musically and spiritually. This person should also be willing and expected to collaborate and assist all other ministries in implementing worship and the use of technology in their areas.

Duties will include:

• Working with staff and ministry teams to develop and lead faith-building Sunday morning experiences.
• Planning of church services, activities, events and programs throughout the year.
• Coordinate with the Senior Minister to enhance and support sermon themes through music selection, video elements, stage set-up, and other elements of the worship experience.
• Recruit, disciple, and train musically gifted people, and include a wide variety of qualified musicians in the worship leadership.
• Lead worship team rehearsals weekly.
• Maintain an online presence through the church website and social media.
