About the Position
Position Description
We are seeking a passionate Student Pastor to lead our Carthage Campus student ministry with vision, energy, and a heart to see students grow in Christ.
Purpose of the Role: To lead and grow a thriving student ministry that reflects our āJesus Firstā culture. The Student Pastor will disciple students and equip leaders, build strong relationships with families and schools, and provide dynamic, biblically sound teaching and programming.
Key Responsibilities: Leadership - Champion a Christ-centered culture in student ministry. Teach regularly in various student ministry environments. Lead and collaborate with volunteers, students, and parents. Equip - Disciple a small group of student leaders. Train volunteers and LifeGroup leaders in sound doctrine and engaging teaching methods. Guide students in their spiritual growth, including salvation, baptism, and calling. Care - Provide pastoral care to students, families, and ministry team members. Build relational connections by attending studentsā extracurricular activities. Support and equip parents to spiritually lead their homes. Recruit - Recruit and develop a passionate, equipped volunteer team. Champion student ministry across the church to attract and retain leaders. Outreach - Cultivate a culture where students regularly invite their friends. Plan and execute outreach events like Elevate (Discipleship Weekend) and mission trips. Build relationships with local schools and community partners. Administrative - Manage the student ministry budget and calendar.⢠Track attendance, curriculum, and key ministry metrics. Communicate updates and progress to church leadership. Candidate Characteristics Humble Integrity Eļ¬ective Communicator Driven and Diligent Biblically Grounded Teacher Qualifications 1ā3 years of experience in student ministry (required) Seminary degree or equivalent theological training (required) Proven communication, leadership, and relational skills Deep personal faith and a commitment to disciple-making
