Gateway is a multi-site church with five locations in WV ā St. Albans (GSA), Teays Valley (GTV), Beckley (GBK), Marmet (GMT), and Barboursville (GBV). The church also operates a daycare and preschool ā the Gateway Christian Education Center (GCEC) at the Saint Albans campus (42 staff and 186 children). Bringing up children in the Christian faith is a vital ministry in the church, and as part of the larger Gateway staff team, the Education Center Minister will have specific responsibility for the GCEC.

About the Position
Position Description
- Work closely with the Executive Minister, the GSA Campus Minister and the larger GCC staff team to be certain that the mission of the church is being promoted and fulfilled in the GCEC.
- Work with the entire GCEC staff team to promote and fulfill the mission of the church.
- Oversee and coordinate the recruiting and selection process for all GCEC staff.
- Work with the GCEC Director to coach personnel in the use of effective teaching and general work habits.
- Work with the GCEC Director to conduct all required evaluations of GCEC staff.
- Oversee all parent/teacher conferences, both annually, and ad-hoc.
- Work with the GCEC Director to develop, publish and oversee the use of all curriculum.
- Create and publish all classroom lesson plans.
- Plan and implement summer camp program for school-age children.
- Develop and maintain a training program to ensure all GCEC staff are qualified and certified beyond state-minimum requirements.
- All other duties as assigned.
