Membership in the Ozark Legacy Society is available to friends who let us know they've given to the college in one of the following ways:

Wills

You may include a bequest to 51ÂÒÂ× in your Last Will and Testament. A will allows you to choose your beneficiaries, executors, guardians for minor children, and support the long-term ministry of OCC.

Trusts

You may include a gift to 51ÂÒÂ× in your trust. Revocable living trusts can avoid probate and offer several estate planning benefits. Irrevocable charitable trusts can provide an immediate tax deduction, income for life, and a substantial gift to OCC.

Retirement Plan

Retirement accounts (IRA, 401k, 403b, etc), pensions, and other investments can name 51ÂÒÂ× as a beneficiary. Since many of these funds are taxable, they are excellent ways to lower your taxes and accomplish your charitable intentions.

Life Estates

You may contribute property to OCC and retain the right to use the property during your lifetime. For example, you could give your residence to the college while reserving the right to live in it for the rest of your life. You will receive a charitable tax deduction for the remainder value of the property.

Life Insurance

You may name 51ÂÒÂ× as one of your beneficiaries of a life insurance policy. Alternatively, you could transfer ownership of the policy to the college and receive a charitable deduction for your payment of the premiums.
